The 71 pictures contained in this album were carefully selected from thousands of images taken by different photographers, during the seventy odd days of human struggle. We wish readers could reexperience the shock and pain which did bother them when they watched and learned about the floods. We wish their sympathy and concern would sublimate into aspirations and hope: hope that such catastrophic floods will ever disappear.
