The Symposium was the ninth in the series of International Symposia on Structural Engineering for Young Experts. The previous eight symposia were held in 1990,1992,1994,1996,1998,2000,2002 and 2004 in Leshan, Harbin, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenyang, Kunming, Tianjin and Xi’an respectively with great success.
