Chinese garden has a long history. Lingnan garden began to emerge in the period of South Yue State, the most typical of which was the medicine islet of immortal Lake in the imperial garden of the South Han Dynasty. Breaking through the former layout of Qin and Han garden construction., this garden building focused on water, forming the qualification of Lingnan which was different from styles of either the North China or the Lower part of the Yangtze valley. Since Ming and Qing dynasties, garden building began to boom with the economic development of this region. Influenced by western cultures, lingnan garden building followed the patterns of European garden not only in the philosophy but also in the plan and layout. Lingna area has excellent natural surrounding with wet climate and fertile land, and it also has a developed economy, which lay soild foundation for its garden building. Lingnan garden centers in the Pear River delta and spreads to Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian provinces and even Taiwan district……
