This atlas has introduced the whole country’s forest resource distribution maps as well as various provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China. It includes natural forest distribution maps, artificial forest distribution maps and forest type distribution maps. Natural forest and artificial forest include conifer forest, broad leave forest, mixed forest and bamboo forest. Forest types include timber forest economic forest, shelterbelt forest, fuelwood forest and forest for special purpose. It has reflected the distribution circumstances of now available sources of forest in China succinctly and directly.
In order to suit the needs of developing the key forestry programs, this atlas has still provided the sketch maps of region of the six key forestry programs in China. The whole mation administrative area map and river basin distribution map are shown out along with all the others.
