This atlas is a systematic summary or reflection of geological and geophysical surveys in the China Seas and adjacent regions.
The atlas consists of 44 map sheets, of which there are 5 maps of topography and geomorphology, 10 maps of geophysical fields, 10 maps of geodynamics, 13 maps of geological structure, 3 maps of basin and mineral resources and 2 maps of interpretations of geology and geophysics. Each of the maps is attached with a brief caption.
The atlas takes global plate-tectoic theory as guiding ideology, does its best to show the basic content of mobilism, makes a concrete analysis of the geological and geophysical data from the China seas and then gives the knowledge of intrinsic regularity.
