The book totally has 17 chapters .In the 1st-2nd chapterly , the formation conditions of debris flow were discussed. In the 3 rd -5th chapters , the activity characteristics, climatic background were expounded. From the 6th -9th chapters, the activity characteristics, climatic background, occurrence mechanism and countermeasure against hazards of debris flow and flood of the glacier end moraine lake burst in Tibet were narrated. The 10th and the 11th chapters discussed the activity characterstics, type and estimation of scale etc. On the basis of the chapters mention above, the classification, distribution and division, and developmental tendency of the debris flow in Tibet were respectively expounded in the 12th – 14th chapters. The 15th – 16th chapters separately talked about the environment change and evolution of the debris flow activity accompanied by the intense uplift of Qinghai – Tibet Plateau and the relationship between environment change and debris flow activity since 20th century , especially in more than 20 year after 1977
