The Present monograph is a result of taxonomic study on the Chinese Elateridae, based upon approximately 10 000 specimens from the different districts of China. The taxonomic resume of Elateroidea, the relationship of Elateridae with allied families and and adaptabiliaty to circumstance, biological habits and economic importance, geographic distribution, historical background of classification, taxonomic characters and identification method are presented. In the end of the paper, 209 figures of structure and the whole body are given.
