This is a special stamp album. It includes 11 subjects

1 Environmental protection: This set of stamps was issued on June 5th, 1988. There are four stamps in this set: Protect the soil environment, Protect the atmospheric environment, Protect the water environment and Prevent noise pollution.

2 Nature Reserve: The set of stamp Shen Nong Jia was issued in 1998. It shows the scenery of Shen Nong Jia nature reserve in western Hubei Province in China. There are four stamps in this set: Virgin forest, Alpine grassland , Mountain and Canyon.

3 Greening the country: The set of stamp Greening the Country was issued in 1990. There are four stamps in this set: Voluntary tree-planting by the whole nation, Greening and beautifying the cities, Building the green Great Wall and Exuberant forests and ample food.

4 Grassland protection: There are 3 stamps in the set :Typical grassland, Meadow steppe and Mixed poplar and birch forests, which give out a beautiful picture of wind blowing down the grass to show the grazing cattle.

5 Combating desertification: The set of stamp Greening the Desert was issued in 1994. There are 4 stamps: A vast sea of desert, Blossom in the sandbank, Poplar forest and Oasis.

6 Biodiversity protection: The two sets of stamps: Insects and Bees, issued in 1992 and 1993 respectively, represent insect stamps in China.

7 Marine environmental protection: Sea world coral reef and ornamental fish shows 8 kinds of ornamental fish and coral reef living in South Sea in China. These8 stamps are pomacanthus imperator, plectropomus laevis, chaetodon capistratus, chaetodon chrysurus, heniochus acuminatus, lutjanus sebae, balistoides conspicillum and pygoplites diacanthus.

8 Human Environmental protection: China's long history leaves it with many ancient human relics, the protection of which is an important contribution to the protection of world human cultural heritage. The city wall, as shown in the stamp, exists in the city of Xi'an, one of the six ancient capitals in China. With a total length of 11906.8 meter and a height of 12 meter, the city wall is protected by the state as an important cultural relic. There are four stamps in the set: Urn City, Embrasured Watchtower, Watchtower and Corner Tower.

9 Urban environmental protection: Pudong, as shown in the stamp, is situated to the east of the Huangpu River in the city of Shanghai. Boasting a total area of 350m2 , it is a new-born modern city, which flourished since 1990 when the strategy of developing Pudong begins to be implemented. There are 6 stamps in the set: Communication and transportation, Lujiazui financial and trade zone, jinqiao export processing zone, zhangjiang high-tech zone, Waigaoqiao bonded zone and residential area.

10 Wildlife protection China: has issued dozens of sets of wildlife stamps, 5 of which are issued jointly with other countries. The two stamps of red deer were issued jointly by the government of China and Russia in 1999 and show how red deer lives in these two countries.

11 International environmental cooperation: The two of stamps shown here are issued in commemoration of the 1995 World Summmit on Social Development in Copenhagen in April 1994 and the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Conference on Human Environment in June 1992.
