The gastropod fossils are found mostly in the Member 1 of the Shahejie Zu, minor in the Dongying formation, rare in the Kongdian zu, the general aspect of the gastropod fossils, most of them are characteristic of the Orient, more or less shows an affinity with those in the coastal region of south China. After preliminary examination, they amount to 237 species and 92 genera (subgenera) within 39 families (subfamilies), including 224 new species, 15 new gnera, 2 new subgenera and 1 new family.
