This book is concerning the findings in the research of the Cretaceous-Early Tertiary charophytes collected from the mid-Hebei province and its adjacent regions during the latest ten years. A briefly description about the petrographic characteristic, stratigraphic sequence and the stratigraphic contacts and an outline about the fossil charophyte distribution are introduced here. The charophytes described in this book contain 29 gen. (including 2 new gen.) 123 species (including 40 new species) and 8 new forms.
