Chalcidoidea Parasitizing Forest Defoliators(Hymenoptera),Based upon the survey of over 30 years on chalcidoid parasitoids of forest defoliators in China, the present book describes 115 species in eight families and 41 genera of Chacidoidea (Hymenoptera), in which 44 species are new to science, and four genera and 16 species are new to China. A historical review on biological control of forest defoliators by using chalcidoid in a global scale are briefly dealt with. morphology of chalcidoid used in the description is provided with pictures, and a brief description of the parasitoid biology is referred to as well. the taxonomic part contains a short family and genus defination, key to genera and species treated, and species description in details with color photos. At last part, host-parasitoid and parasitoid-host directories are provided.
