Jurassic System in the North of China (Vol. VI) The Stratigraphic Region of North China

As one of the results of the systematic study on the Jurassic System of the Stratigraphic Region of North China, the present book deals with ①the comprehensive subdivision and the correlation of the Jurassic strata of the region based on the examinations of both the typical outcrop sections and drilling profiles by the application of biostratigraphic (bio-assemblage series of the major organic groups), lithostratigraphic, chronostratigraphy methods and isotopic dating; ②the reconstruction of palaeovegetation and palaeoclimate mainly based on the palynologic data; ③ the sedimentary environments and the palaeogeography; and ④the distribution of hydrocarbon source rock and a preliminary evaluation of petroleum prospects.
