The present researches cover an area of about 320,000 km2, including three geochemical areas of northern Guangdong , northern Guangxi and southern Jiang xi Provinces . In these areas systematic investigations of the geochemistry of strata have been accomplished. In addition, systematic and comprehensive studies of regional geochemistry have been carried out in the Shaoguan district in northern Guangdong Province occupying an area of about 4300km2.
