长白山土壤腹足类物种多样性初步研究(Chinese with English Summary)
By Wang Zhongming
From May to October 1993, an on-the-spot research of soil gastropods was carried out in the Changbai Mountain Forestry Research Stations, Jilin. Only 15 species of soil gastropods were recognized to belong to 13 genera of 9 families, The results show that values of species richness index and Shannon-Wiener index are the lowest in May and highest in August, then decreased gradually. The average Shannon-Wiener index is high in May and low in July. The pureness index is high in May and low in October. The Shannon-Wiener index of soil gastropods living in the layer of dead leaves is higher than that of the soil

The Land and Freshwater Molluscs of Natural Reserves in Hainan
海南自然保护区的陆生和淡水贝类(Chinese with English Summary)
By Xiong Yan
The land and freshwater molluscs resource were investigated in natural reserves of Hainan.24 species of land snails and 16 species of freshwater molluscs were collected, which were subordinate to 19 genera of 9 families within a class and 11 genera of 7 families within two classes respectively. The analysis of fauna showed that:the land and freshwater molluscs fauna share the characters of the oriental area and these species uniquely distribute in tropical area;the molluscs fauna in Hainan island is in close relation to that in Guangdong mainland;the vertical dispersion of snails is obvious, the species number decreasing with the increase in latitude;the molluscs fauna in Hainan are characterized by a large percent of the species that are macrotype and as the intermediate hosts for human and animals.

中国喇叭螺属的系统发育关系和生物地理学初探(肺螺亚纲:柄眼目:虹蛹螺科)(In English)
By Zhang Weihong
The phylogeny of Chinese Boysidia has been investigated by cladistic methods using the Hennig 86 program(Version 1.5).Seventeen morphological characters were used in this analysis.Hypselostoma tubiferum and Gyliauchen hungerfordianus were chosen as outgroups. The preferred parsimonious cladogram was calculated by the command ie~* with progressive weighting method. In the resulting phylogenetic reconstruction,Seventeen Chinese species of genus Boysidia were divided into two groups that supported the proposition of J.Thiele(1931).On the basis of the Dispersal-Vicariance analysis,a historical biogeographical scenario was hypothesized: the form of the present distribution pattern of Boysidia in China may be related to the most strong uplift of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
