Two-years’ Report of International Mei (Prunus mume) Register (2005-2006)

【Introduction】

In the contents listed in this issue, the percentage of newly bred Chinese Mei cvs. amounts more and more. For examples, among the internationally registered 42 cvs. applied by Mei Study Group of the Mausoleum, i. e. 45.2%.
In this issue, we classify Mei cultivars according to International Code of Nomenclature for Culvated Plants, 2004. Three cv. groups have been established under the species (Prunus mume), viz. True Mume Group, Apricot Mei Group, and Blireiana Group.
