A portion of the type specimens preserved in the herbarium (TAIF) of the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute was reviewed and scanned.Those type specimens included 97 species and 7 varieties belonging to 15 families, 60 genera of dicotyledons. The family arrangement of the taxa follows the system of Engler and Diels. Infra-family taxa are arranged alphabetically by genera and species. An explanation for each specimen is provided in the fingure caption. Discrepanicies between specimen labels and original decripations are noted when appropriated.
