Zhi Wu MIng Shi Tu Kao (Illustrated Plant Book)

This book was written by a scholar living in Qing dynasty Wu Qijun, 1789-1847. It records 1741 species plants, the most book to record plants in early Chinese botany literatures.   It provides the reader with name, morphology, living habit etc.  The original book was divide into 38 volumes. It is published in 8 books this time.   

本书为清代著名的植物学专著，由当时学者吴其濬编纂。全书共38卷，收录植物1714种，分蔬、山草等12类。每类分若干种，叙述其名称、形色、产地、习性等。并附有精细插图，是研究我国植物、语言名实考证以及版画的重要文献。
《植物名实图考》三十八卷，清吴其濬(1789—1847) 编。全书共收录1714种，比《本草纲目》尚多出500余种，是我国收录植物种类最多的传统植物学文献。吴氏以实物观察为依据，询之老圃牧竖，对以往文献记载补其不详，纠其悠谬，议论切中实际，详博精密，代表了传统植物学研究的最高水平。而《图考》所著录植物皆附有插图，墨线缮绘严谨精确，是古代植物学著作中最为精美者。本次以浙江图书馆所藏光绪八年（一八八〇）山西濬文书局重印本影印出版。
