China has a long history of safflower cultivation, and is abundant in genetic resources. In addition, great achievement in scientific research, processing and utilization has been made. About 130 papers are compiled in the proceedings concerning subjects of a wide range, such as cultivation, breeding, genetic resources, growth and development and chemical composition analysis and utilization of by-products are submitted.
