The Excavation and Study of Weichisi Neolithic Site at Mengcheng County

This volume is a complete excavation report of the Weichi Temple site at Mengcheng County, Anhui province. The excavation was carried out from 1989 to 1995 and revealed various architectural remains, tombs and pits belonging to the Dawenkou culture. Among the finds are human remains, pottery and some jades.

本报告报道了1989年秋到1995年春安徽省蒙城县尉迟寺遗址发掘的全部资料和研究成果。该遗址是皖北地区大汉口时期的一处大型聚落遗址，包括大型围沟、成组的红烧土排房建筑、墓葬、兽坑、祭祀坑以及各类遗物等。此外，该遗址还发现有墓葬、灰坑等龙山时期遗迹以及各类遗物。尉迟寺遗址的发现与研究，填补了大汉口文化聚落研究的空白，确立了大汉口文化的一个新的地方类型-尉迟寺类型，对全面研究大汉口文化的分布区域、聚落形态、墓葬制度及其与周围地区同期文化的关系具有重要的学术价值。
