9TH International Symposium on Salt (2 Volume Set)

The 9th International Symposium on Salt with the main topic of “Salt-the Foundation of Human Life” was held in Beijing International Convention Center, Beijing, China from September 4th-September 7th. 251 papers were selected in this proceeding. The history and the present situation and the future of salt production were discussed in the papers. Based on the content, the selected contributions were divided into nine sub-topics in this proceeding in order to meet different readers.

1. Salt production and energy saving in the Vacuum-Evaporation system: 44 papers were collected under this sub-topic

2. Mineral salt mining and utilization: 51 papers were collected under this sub-topic

3. Salt production from sea water and from salt lakes: 48 papers were collected under this sub-topic

4. Salt chemical production: 28 papers were collected under this sub-topic

5. Literary history and education of salt: 5 papers were collected under this sub-topic

6. Salt and Health. 13 papers were collected under this sub-topic, which are mainly related to the research about the relationship between salt and health as well as the influence mechanism of various micro-elements.

7. The functional salt and related analysis method. 25 papers were collected under this sub-topic.

8. Iodized Salt and Elimination of Iodine Deficiency Disease. 20 papers were collected under this sub-topics

9. Marketing. This sub-topic comprised 20 papers with the discussion about the market situation, development prospects, consumption model and circulation marketing as well as warehouse packing technologies
