Edible Insects of China has been written to highlight the importance of edible insects, both within China and in other countries. It is based on the results of scientific research that the authors have been engaged in for over 20 years. The book is composed of two main sections; the first provides background information on edible insects and the second is about edible insects in China. It vovers the 324 species of edible insects in China, found in 11 insect orders, and includes the common edible insect species in China, some not so common species, and some medicinal insect species for which nutritional information is available.
