The 7th volume is one of 14volumes of Fauna sinica-Aves, which deals with five orders (Caprimulgiformes, Apodiformes, Trogoniformes, Coraciiformes and Piciformes), 13 families, 37 genus and 85 species with 85 subspecies in addition. The birds involved excepting those of Apodifomes being passers are all of scansores. In this volume one subspecies is treated as a new one (Aceros nipalensis yunanensis).
