This volume includes three subfamilies, viz., the Acridoidea, the Tetrigoidea and the Eumastacioidea. The Acridoidea is described according to new taxonomy system of Insecta vol.4 of Fauna Sinica. The Acridoidea of Guangxi includes six families, viz. the Chrotogonidae, the Pyrgomorphidae, the Catantopidae, the Oedipodidae, the Arcypteridae and Acrididae. The Tetrigoidea includes seven families, viz, the Batrachididae, the Tripetaloceridae, the Discotettigidae, the Cladonotidae, the Scelimenidae, the Metrodoridae and Tetrigidae in Guangxi. The Eumastacioidea of guangxi only includes on family, viz. the Eumaslacidae.
A total of 236 species of grasshoppers of Guangxi are described.
