Paperback
The book is divided into five parts. In Part 1 there are eleven papers to discuss species, flora and distribution, characteristics of community, ecological feature and economic value of mangrove in China. Part 2 containing ten papers expounds element accumulation and cycling, biomass, productivity, production, litter fall and decomposition rateof litter leaves of two typical mangrove community (Kandelia candel and Bruguiera sexangula) in China. In Part 3 mangrove energy flow, energy amount of B. sexangula and K. candel forests, and monthly changes of caloric value in K. candel leaves were discussed. Part 4 is devoted to mangrove physiological ecological and morphological characteristics including influence of carbonhydrate, nitrogen compount and some enzyme systems in mnagrove in mercury accumulation, cycling and removal, and one method to monitor oil pollution and evaluate sea environmental quality by mangrove leaves are demonstrated exemplarily in Part 5. There are total 30 papers in this volume. Last of all, titles of some papers involved in mangrove research and abstracts presented in international conference are appended in this book.
