This monograph deals with the systematic studies on the subfamily Cheloninae Nees von Esenbeck of the family Braconidae (Hymenoptera) from China. It comprises two parts, namely general account and systematic account.In the genral account, which is divided into six chapters, the taxonomic history, current taxonomic notes, morphology, biology and ecology, phylogeny, prospect for application, methods for collecting, identifying and preserving the specimens are reviewed.In the systematic account, 6 genera and 162 species are recognized from China, including 85 new species, 12 species which are recorded for the first time and 2 new combination from China. Keys to gnera and species are given. Under each gnus, the generic synonym, systematic history and present systematic status, phylogenic relationship, diagnostic charactrs, distribution and biology are reviewed and discussed. All the species treated are described and illustrated fully except a few species which are not available.
