The insects of Japan is a series of occasional publications and has been established with two major objectives to encourage those with expert knowledge to publish comprehensive accounts of a taxon in the Japanese fauna, and to provide a mean of identification with the latest information on the biodata accessible to the non-specialist. It will deal insects of Japan including descriptions and diagnostic features of taxa, distribution, biodata, of host plants and other aspects of biology, illustrations of important features and photographs of every species, and distribution maps for representative species as a rule.
