The Cretaceous ostracodes of the Hailaer Basin are found from all of the rest formations with the exceptions of the Longjiang, Jiufengshan, Ganhe and Yimin formations, which are the important evidence to study the Cretaceous strata. These fossils are characterized by the strong endemic color, representing the fossil ostracode fauna to the northerneast of the Inner Mongolia. The systematic research on these fossils is not only a great significance to the oil and gas exploration, but to the understanding of the systemic evolution of ostracodes and the development of the palaeobiology.

127 species belonging to 21 genera, 14 unidentified species and 7 unidentified genera and species are described and illustrated. Bases on the composition and distribution of these species, five ostracode assemblages have been classified.
