This book is the first one to systematically review the research achievements of plant fossils from coal balls in China, and it re-observes and re-studies the existing fossil materials.
The book describes 48 genera of fossil plants in total, from coal balls and 96 species of fossil plants. Thirteen genera of the above fossil plants are reported for the first time. This book also establishes eight new species.
This book provides evidence for the research of plant classification and evolution, thus it is of strategic significance for paleontology research.
