This record is an attempt to compile a complete list of generic names of Mesozoic plants described from China, and to provide some original data concerning the generic names. All generic names of Mesozoic megafossils figured from China in the years of 1865-1990 are included. The genera based on dispersed miospores, megaspores, and the majority of lower plants, such as bacteria, cyabacteria, algae and fungi, are not included, but a few lower plants which traditionally are studied together with the higher ones are also recorded.
