Preface
Despite the fact that oil became the main energy source around the world in the 1960s, the coal industry has been and will continue to be and important and basic industry in China in the foreseeable future because there will be no dramatic changes in the energy supply structure dominated by coal. In order to enhance further development of coal mining technologies in terms of processing safety and effectiveness, efficiency and environmentally free consumption, industrial demands of our changing socialist society, a new system of technologies must be created.
