Their main conclusions are as follow:
.The concerning area is divided into two Archaean continental blocks: Huaian block and Hengshan block. Both of them have a double-layer structure consisting of Archaean high-grade basements and late Archaean to early Proterozoic metamorphic covers. However, they have different features in rock association, geological structure, metamorphism, geochemical composition and isotopic ages.
.Between Huaian block and Hengshan block, there develops the Sanggan structure zone. It is a complicated thrust belt, and is characterized by having plenty of small scale shear zones, lenses of high-pressure basic granulite, retrograde eclogite and ultra-mafic rock, and small granite intrusions. It is by these characteristics that the sanggan structure belt is distinguished from the two continental blocks in both sides of it. The high-pressure granulite formed at late Archaean.
.The matching model of the two Archaean continental blocks has been fully discussed according to the point of view of the plate tectonic model.
.The Archaean lower continental crust represented by the high-pressure granulite is discussed and then a complete continental lower crust section from high-pressure granulite to amphibolite facies in the Archaean cratonic area is set up.
