The present work deals with the carrion beetles of China.Totally 75 species are described or redescribed herein,，among them， Nicrophorus sinensis Ji is described as new species. Four new synonyms are proposed. These species are grouped in 11 genera，7 genera (41 species) belonging to the subfamily Silphinae，and the cther 2 genera(33 species) belonging to the subfamily Nicrophorinae. In addition，7 species which potentially distributed in China also included in the key to species. Based on the Palearctic catalogue ，a catalogue of Chinese Silphidae is given. Phylogenetic perspective，taxonomy system，biogeography，and natural history on the Chinese Silphidae are briefly introduced. The book is Published by China Forestry Publishing House.
