The Photographic Atlas of Geological Landscapes of Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) Plateau

This atlas photographic atlas presents a gift resulting from the research work of the project. It consists of photos taken in field investigation of the Geological Survey Party of the Qinghai – Tibet Plateau, Sino – foreign geological cooperative research teams and relevant geological bureaus and parties. These photos portray the geological and geomorphological features and mineral occurrences and show scenes of the work and life in the fields. Also included in the atlas are pictures reflecting the recent economical development, historical sites and scenic spots, natural conditions and social customs. This atlas with photos systematically arranged and edited is offered to both scientists and amateurs for reference and enjoyment. It is hoped that through this atlas one will be able to get a general idea of the geoscientific features of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
